Terms of Service

Welcome to MILVETCOM, operated by The Military Veterans Command (doing business as "MILVETCOM"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MILVETCOM mobile application ("App") and related services.

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Overview of Services MILVETCOM is a community networking mobile application designed exclusively for the military Veteran community. The App enables Veterans to connect with one another, share content, participate in social and employment-related features, and engage with service providers.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration To use the App, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

  • Use the App in a manner consistent with these Terms and applicable laws

MILVETCOM reserves the right to verify your Veteran status using third-party APIs, including those provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

3. User Content & Conduct Users may post text, images, and other content within the App. However, MILVETCOM strictly prohibits:

  • Anti-American content

  • Subversive speech or behavior undermining American freedoms

  • Harassment, threats, or hate speech

  • Bullying

  • Misinformation intended to deceive

  • Content violating intellectual property rights

  • Any content that is deliberately objectionable or abusive

Further, MILVETCOM is committed to following child safety standards that protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation. MILVETCOM strictly prohibits the posting, sharing or otherwise conveying of any files, data, text or other mediums that depict or could be interpreted as depicting sexually suggestive content to minors. This material will be considered Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). If any member believes they see such material, please use the in-app feedback feature on your homepage to report the following :

  • the member who shared the material

  • the material that was shared

  • the date the material was witnessed

MILVETCOM seeks to create a safe space for the purpose of constructive community networking. Member-created content that is counter to this purpose or that violates any of the list items outlined in this section will be removed. MILVETCOM maintains full authority in determining content validity and, as such, reserves the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards at any time.

4. Paid Features & Subscriptions MILVETCOM offers the following subscription-based services:

  • Marketer Solutions: For users seeking to advertise to the Veteran community

  • Recruiter Solutions: For users posting jobs and recruiting Veterans

All subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

5. Third-Party Services We use third-party services as part of our infrastructure, including:

  • Firebase (notifications only)

  • Supabase (image cloud storage)

  • Socket.IO (real-time communication)

  • MongoDB (account data storage)

  • Department of Veteran Affairs (Veteran status verification)

  • ZipCodeStack (zip code to city/state resolution)

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the use of these services.

6. Account Suspension & Termination MILVETCOM reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate user accounts for violations of these Terms or any behavior deemed harmful to the community.

7. Privacy Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property All content, trademarks, and materials within the App are the property of The Military Veterans Command unless otherwise noted. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

9. Limitation of Liability MILVETCOM is not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the App. All services are provided "as is" and "as available."

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
